Roof Inspection and Maintenance
Just because you don’t see a particular issue with your roof does not mean that you can claim you have a healthy roof. This is not something that is just being thrown out there so you will pick up the phone and call us. A roof inspection is extremely important because it allows us to spot developing issues before they turn into a major problem that we would then have to scramble big time to repair. Essentially we offer roof inspections and maintenance to make sure that for the most roof replacements become optional and not a specific need.
What Goes Into A Roof Inspection It is really nothing out of this world what we are going to do with a roof inspection. We are literally going to be going up there and taking a look at your roof from close range. What we want to do is make sure that we are able to spot any cracks or any issues that could be developing. Another technique that we tend to use is to spray water on your roof. That way we can get a clear view of how your gutter system is working. It is a really quick way to make sure that things are running smoothly. What Goes Into Maintenance At times companies like us will tell you that a certain area needs maintenance, but what does this exactly mean for roofs? Usually, it involves a lot of cleaning. The first thing that we want to do is to make sure that we are able to get rid of all of the debris that is on your roof. Then we may check your gutters and your roof with water as was mentioned before. Here we are going to be able to see if any moisture spots form. If we say that water can’t flow freely through a gutter even after it has been cleaned out it is a clear sign that we are dealing with some type of problem. How Often Should I Give You Guys A Call? Usually being able to give your roof a look around twice a year is going to allow us to get a good idea of what kind of shape your roof is in. Ideally, you can give us a call right around the time that we are expecting heavy rains to come. That way we can make sure that your roof is ready to handle what’s coming. Do Different Types of Roofs Need More or Less Maintenance? Yes, metal roofs are going to last longer than shingle roofs, tiles are not great for windy areas. Overall though, it may not be a bad idea to stick with the twice a year rule. Our maintenance and inspection services are very affordable. In a lot of ways, they are there to help you sleep at night. Knowing that your roof is not going to be caving in any time soon. The difference though usually lies in that we may need to do more mini repairs on shingles or tiles than on metal or aluminum. |
